Satellite Office Hours Set for March, Pickett Says

TOWANDA – To help area residents better access state government-related services, staff from Rep. Tina Pickett’s (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) district office will hold satellite office hours in Sullivan and Susquehanna counties in March.

“Many times when residents encounter an issue with state government – whether it’s a complicated title issue with PennDOT, a state income tax question or a trout stocking guide -- my staff is a great first point of contact,” Pickett said. “While we may not be able to find a solution for every issue, we can point them in the right direction and put them in touch with the right people.”

For the month of March, staff will be available at the Sullivan County Commissioners’ Office in the courthouse on the first Wednesday, March 1, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., and at Heft’s Buy and Sell in Lawton on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, March 8 and March 22, from 10 a.m. to noon.

“In addition, our Sayre location offers a specialist from the American Legion, Dan Falls, who can help veterans navigate the complexities of government programs and services designed specifically for them,” Pickett added. “Falls can help veterans and their family members with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to benefits.”

Falls will meet with veterans and/or their family members from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 16. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services, and appointments can be made by calling Pickett’s Sayre office at (570) 888-9011.
