WHAT: Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) will host her 18th annual Senior Expo, which attracts more than 1,500 area senior citizens age 55 and older, their families and caregivers.
WHO: Pickett and more than 1,500 area residents. Nearly 90 exhibitors will be on hand to present information on a wide range of private and public programs and services. Information will be presented about health care, insurance, nutrition and exercise, financial planning, fraud protection, and government services. Returning this year is a document shredding service by North Central Sight Services (available from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. only), and Bradford County Sheriff C.J. Walters will sponsor a prescription drug disposal box for residents to securely dispose of unwanted and expired medications.
WHEN: Friday, June 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At 11:30 a.m., Pickett will hold a town meeting in the school’s cafeteria to discuss various local and state issues affecting residents in the 110th District, including progress on the 2018-19 state budget.
WHERE: Athens Lynch-Bustin Elementary School, located at
253 Pennsylvania Ave., Athens. From Route 220, take the second Athens Business Exit to Pine Street. Signs will be posted directing participants to school parking. Shuttle service will be provided from the school’s parking lot to the building’s front door.
