TOWANDA – Due to the Independence Day holiday, Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) will hold satellite office hours in Sullivan County on Wednesday, July 18, the third Wednesday of the month, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Pickett will have staff available at the Sullivan County Commissioners Office in the courthouse in Laporte to help with such items as Property Tax/Rent Rebate or PACE/PACENET applications. The staff also will have available common brochures on state programs and services, and be able to assist with direct inquiries to state agencies.
“The Property Tax/Rent Rebate program has extended its deadline to Dec. 31, so I encourage anyone who needs assistance with the form to stop by for in-person help at the satellite location,” Pickett said. “We encourage residents doing so to make sure to bring along all relevant paperwork.”

At the Sayre district office, Dan Falls from the American Legion can help veterans navigate the complexities of government programs and services designed for them. Specifically, he can help veterans and their family members with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to benefits.
Falls will be at the Sayre office on Thursday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services, and appointments can be made by calling Pickett’s Sayre office at (570) 888-9011.
