TOWANDA – Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) will hold satellite office hours on Wednesday, Aug. 15, in Sullivan County, and residents are always encouraged to call the special number for Susquehanna County assistance.
Staff will be available in Sullivan County in the commissioners’ conference room at the courthouse from 1:30-3:30 p.m. that day.
“I appreciate the commissioners allowing us to use this space so that we can meet with residents of the Laporte area and help them with a state government-related issue,” Pickett said. “Sometimes residents may be unsure of which level of government can help, and we’re available to help sort it out and point them in the right direction.”
In addition to state-related inquiries, staff can help with such items as Property Tax/Rent Rebate or PACE/PACENET applications. The staff also will have available common brochures on state programs and services.
Residents of Susquehanna County can call Pickett’s staff at (570) 934-2557 anytime during regular business hours for assistance.
At the Sayre district office, Dan Falls from the American Legion can help veterans navigate the complexities of government programs and services designed for them. Specifically, he can help veterans and their family members with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to benefits.
Falls will be at the Sayre office on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services, and appointments can be made by calling Pickett’s Sayre office at (570) 888-9011.
