HARRISBURG – Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) announced Friday that the Bradford County Historical Society has been awarded a $4,994 Historical and Archival Records Care (HARC) grant by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC).
“I am very pleased to congratulate the Bradford County Historical Society on receiving this grant,” said Pickett. “This historical society is one of the oldest in the state, and I am confident that this grant will assist them in continuing the excellent work of recording and preserving Bradford county’s deep and rich history.”
The PHMC grants are designed to fund projects that will improve the preservation and accessibility of historically significant records that are maintained by local governments, historical societies and academic institutions.
The grants were awarded after a competitive review of applications by a subcommittee of the Pennsylvania State Historical Records Advisory Board. The HARC grants are administered by the Pennsylvania State Archives, a bureau within the PHMC.
