Pickett Sets February Satellite Office, Veteran Services Hours

TOWANDA – To help residents of Sullivan and Susquehanna counties, along with veterans throughout the 110th District, Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) today announced her satellite and veterans service hours for the month of February.

“State government is highly involved in many areas of people’s lives – from helping with home heating assistance to student aid for higher education, and especially services for our dedicated veterans,” Pickett said. “My staff is very knowledgeable and experienced in state-related issues. We’re here to help constituents deal with state-related issues that can at times be complex and confusing.”

For the month of February, staff will be available at the Sullivan County Commissioners Office in the courthouse on the first and third Wednesday, Feb. 6 and Feb. 20, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Residents of Susquehanna County can call Pickett’s staff at (570) 934-2557 anytime during regular business hours.

At the Sayre district office, there will be an American Legion Service Officer on Friday, Feb. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The assigned service officer can help veterans navigate the complexities of government programs and services designed for them. Specifically, they can help veterans and their family members with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to benefits.

Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services, and appointments can be made by calling Pickett’s Sayre office at (570) 888-9011.
