Pickett Announces More Than $420,000 in State Fire, EMS Grants Rewarded to the 110th District

HARRISBURG – Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Braford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) announced today that 39 fire and ambulance companies within the 110th District will share more than $420,000 in state grant funding.

“I am pleased to hear that so many of our local fire and ambulance companies within the 110th District have received this grant funding,” said Pickett. “I am hopeful that this funding will give our hardworking first responders the resources and equipment they need to continue to selflessly care for and serve our communities.”

The following is a list of local fire and ambulance companies within the 110th District that received the funding:

The exact amount that the all-volunteer companies in the 110th District received for 2018-19 program year is $420,440.35.

The funding can be used to renovate or construct a fire or ambulance company facility, repair or purchase new equipment, train or reduce existing debt.

All grants are funded by slot machine proceeds and not tax money.

Fire and ambulance companies are reminded that in order to receive their grants and retain their eligibility for the program, paperwork must be submitted back to the Office of Fire Commissioner by the end of May.
