Pickett Announces District Office Services for Veterans

HARRISBURG –Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Wyoming) is sharing with residents the following assistance opportunities available in the district for veterans.

On the third Tuesday of every month, a representative from the VFW will be available to assist veterans and their dependents in the Sayre district office by appointment only. Veterans do not need to be a VFW member to take part in the program. Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling the Sayre office at 570-888-9011.

On the first Wednesday of every month, an American Legion representative is available in the Tunkhannock district office to assist veterans with their questions and concerns. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive assistance. Appointments are required and can be made by calling the Tunkhannock district office at 570-836-4777.

“We want to ensure all veterans get the benefits they have earned thanks to their service to our nation,” Pickett said. “I encourage our resident veterans to take advantage of these services.”

Services provided during these appointments include assistance with compensation, pension and death benefits, education and health care, plus other benefits.
