Pickett Announces State Funding for First Responders

HARRISBURG – Twenty-seven fire and emergency medical services (EMS) organizations in the 110th Legislative District were awarded more than $365,000 in funding support through the 2021-22 Pennsylvania Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program, Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) and Clint Owlett (R-Tioga/Bradford/Potter) on Wednesday joined their House colleagues in supporting the allocation of $225 million in federal COVID-19 relief funding to medical facilities statewide, including five in Bradford County. The bill was then signed into law by the governor as Act 2 of 2022.

Free Veterans Assistance Hours to Resume Oct. 18 in Sayre, Pickett Says

SAYRE -- In her continuing effort to address any questions or concerns of veterans and their dependents, Rep. Tina Pickett’s (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) district office in Sayre will resume hosting veterans assistance hours on the third Monday of each month, starting Oct. 18. This free in-person service will be provided by the VFW, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., by appointment only.

TOWANDA – Dozens of exhibitors have registered to participate in Rep. Tina Pickett’s (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) 20th Senior Expo, set for Thursday, Aug. 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Athens Lynch-Bustin Elementary School. Last year’s expo was canceled due to the health and safety mandates related to COVID-19.
